Sophie's POV
"Please, let them go," I begged. Even if I knew Ken couldn't do that, I still tried to look deeper into him; if he could only side with us, if he could help sneak us out, then maybe, just maybe, I'd be able to forgive him.
That was a lie.
I discovered he had been feeding on the werewolves too; that was what made him stronger. I didn't know what truly happened to Ken or what made him change, but I had an idea. It had all been my fault, and while he thought it began in the woods where he had been attacked, I knew better; it began in my house, in my bedroom, when I had left him. It was all my fault.
