Chapter 17

‘Megan, you are scaring me. What is it? What do you sense? What do you see?’, Jack asked as he turned her to face him, trying to get her to focus.

She turned and faced him with vacant eyes. Not really knowing how to word her answer to him. How was she going to tell him that her nightmares have become a reality? That she had just locked eyes with the lycan, she drove a dagger through his heart.

How was she to tell him that from the moment those dreams came to be that he was in grave danger, and the danger had taken on flesh?

‘I just saw him’, Megan said.

Jack blinked, not truly comprehending what she meant by ‘I saw him”.

Who did she see? Was that why she was tense? And why on God’s green earth did he not see anything?

It was times like these that he wished he was supernatural. Though he could hold his own in any fight against them, but he would be a fool if he did not acknowledge that their heightened sense was a bonus for them.
