He remembered her scream at the top of her lungs as he held his brother's heart in his hand. If he had put it back, he might have lived, but he sealed his fate when he decided to toy with my life the way he did.

As for the girl, well, it was much more obvious that she was next. He dropped the still beating heart on the bed and dove for her. She barely had the time to gather her senses before she too was without a heart.

The guards had rushed in and quickly placed the hearts in the bodies of the respective owners, but it was too late for the crown prince. The girl had survived, but not for long. When his parents had what happened their responses were as expected.

‘Since you decided to rid the kingdom of its future king, you shall take over his position and train twice as hard until the day you are crowned in his place. How embarrassing that you would kill your brother because of a silly girl who is not even that pretty or smart to begin with. If she had any two
