Chapter 42
The next three months the lycan king kept to his words. He did not hit her or threaten her, mostly because she had barely set her eyes on him in the past three months. She had entertained the thought of going to search him out, but had buried the idea immediately. She did not need to know if that was a boundary to not cross.
Since last week she had been training her lycan with the captain of the guard. He was a decent fellow but she knew to just follow his instructions so as to not irritate or annoy her king.
Shifting was no longer as painful, and she could run for more than five minutes. Today they were going to see if she could go for twenty minutes on a light jog and then fifteen minutes on a sprint. Something about building endurance.
Good thing they were doing all of this on the pack grounds. She did not think her beast would cope well in the forest.
