Chapter 53

The lycan king staggered to his feet when he could feel his body again. The pains he was feeling were not natural. That was the only way he could describe it. They were not natural. Even when the witch had ripped his shirt off of him, he could not do anything to stop her.

And now she was slumped by his side, doing what? He did not know, but she better have a good explanation for what he had just gone through. And his Queen, he needed to get back to her before she woke up.

He shook himself as though he was shaking sleep from his eyes.

‘What just happened?’ the lycan king asked Giana the witch on a breathless growl. Giana turned to him with a wide smile. A smile he wanted nothing more than to wipe off her face, painfully too.

‘It worked! Your sacrifice was accepted!’ she said with barely concealed glee. The lycan king was confused at first, then he was enraged.

She took such a huge risk without giving him the full details?!
