“You’re mean! A kiss can’t make me forgive you,” I whined, plopping down on a beanbag after our long kiss, while Vexon sat on the other one.

“Well, I knew you were tough,” Vexon muttered, and I narrowed my eyes. He sighed before holding his ear with his hands, and looked at me, his eyes softening at the sight of me. “I am sorry, Gem. I had to go to the USA for work, and I returned last night. I am sorry for not contacting you for the last two weeks. But I swear, there was not a single moment I didn’t miss you.”

I crossed my arms and pouted. “If you really missed me, why didn’t you call me?”

“I know that if I keep in touch with you, I will come running back to you, not caring about the work. But it was important, so I didn’t want to mess it up,” he paused briefly, “Although Richard kept me updated about you every day.” A fond smile formed on his lips as he remembered something. “He would text me and sometimes even send your photos secretly.”
