Chapter 15

Nate has been running for hours, my muscles are burning and I know I’ll pay for it later but right now I don’t care. I needed that run, needed to get the anger out of my body, and Nate never says no to a run. I take back control from him, slow down my pace, and head for my favourite place, the lake. It’s always the best way to finish a run and I really need some water.

I arrive at the lake, drink my fill of water, and decide to have a lay down for a little while before I head back to the hell hole. I pray silently that Theo pulls through this, that guy’s life has been hell since the moment he stepped foot in this place and he deserves so much more.

I blocked off my mind link when I left because I knew that once Jack finds out that I had the Doc see to him there’s going to be hell coming my way but I honestly don’t care anymore. I couldn’t stand by and watch it go on for one more second. I think maybe my plans to leave here need to happen a lot sooner th
