Chapter 69. A Brokenhearted Man
Aaron remained silent as soon as they reached his car. He waited for the perfect timing to clear things between Dianna.
Earlier, he mentioned about courting her, but it was merely a lie. It was only a plan, and he didn’t consult her yet about it. He undeniably had to apologize before anything bad happen.
He gasped and glanced at Dianna for a few seconds then looked away.
“I’m sorry, Dianna! I didn’t want to say those words, but I didn’t have a choice but lie,” said Aaron with rosy cheeks and red ears.
Dianna wondered why he was acting so weird. She didn’t see anything terrible, instead she was very grateful because of him.
She giggled, “Stop it, Aaron! I should be thanking you and I understand why you said those words to them.”
After a long battle, Dianna had finally found a way that ended it. Her heart became a lightweight thing like a feather. It was surreal.
“Are… are you sure? I thought you’ll get mad at me—”
