"Who was she," he asked himself, the force she had exerted while pushing him off her was one he had never come face to face with.

He knew it was no ordinary force she was more than that she was no human he could attest to that or better still she had been possessed by something.

This means she was possessed by demons if it was that Ashton growled stating they would have to save their mate because it was not normal to let the demons possess her, they needs to save her from the claws of the evil one.
