Chapter 48

I walk into Jason's penthouse once the elevator arrives on his floor. Uncle Jack dropped me off a few seconds ago. I say Jason's name as I walk into his apartment but get no response. He must be in his study since he is not in the living room or kitchen. I walk to the kitchen to find something to eat. I didn't even get to order food while at lunch with Mrs. Sullivan. I drop my purse on the counter and open the fridge to find something to eat or cook with. I am sure Jason won't mind me cooking, but I think I should tell him first. I close the fridge and walk to his study to ask him.

I knock before entering. I see him working on some papers on his desk. I can't believe even on Sunday, he is working.

"Hi, sweetheart," Jason says as I walk towards him

"Hi, what are you doing?" I ask, standing beside him

"Just starting ahead on some work before I travel this week."

"Oh, that's true you are travelling on Wednesday."

"Yes, I am going to miss you." He say
