Vampire's Love

1887. 130 years ago.

“Leya! Please! Do not leave me alone! LEYA!”

Lucious stared at his lover’s still body, there on the cold, hard ground, unmoved. His lover was dead. She was gone. Forever. Just like that. No. He wouldn’t have it. His mind rebelled against the thought.

“Lucious! You have to escape while you can now! They’ll be here any minute, and they’ll destroy you in the twinkle of an eye!” Gideon, his friend, said to him, fear swimming all over his face.

“No! I will not leave Leya.” His British accent was thick with the strength of reeling his tears in.

“Go now, Lucious! I promise you I’ll give her an honorable burial. I’ll keep her body safe and her grave sacred. But you must go now! Go, my friend!”

Lucious couldn’t hold back the tears that streamed down his face as he listened to his friend’s pleas and slowly and painfully walked away from the love of his life.

As he left the war room, he was scarcely aware of the sound of the ferocious beasts marching in to attack Gideon. He prayed to God that he would stay alive and protect Leya’s body.

Leya was dead. She was really gone. Lucious could hardly contain the rage that was storming through his body. He was going to avenge her. One day.

He didn’t know how that would be possible, but he was going to wipe off every single one of them in the leaders’ palace. They would pay for their betrayal.

Turning back to take one more glance at the direction he left his friend and dead mate, he let out a tiny whistle before he swiftly disappeared.
