Chapter 40. As Clear As It Needs to Be

“But I’m scared, Leonard. He’ll kill me,” I whispered sadly in a small voice over the phone to Leonard.

Leonard was surprised and shocked to hear everything that has been happening to me. He apologized for his advised plan backfiring on me.

The other day we didn’t have much time to talk as Alessandro rudely barged into the room forcing me to cut the call.

“I’m so sorry you have to go through all this alone, darling. How’s the baby doing?” he sympathized.

“The baby is okay but I don’t know for how long. He randomly goes off on me, Leonard. He chokes me and threatens me all the time. He doesn’t care about me nor does he respect me,” I held off on telling him about the fact that he hit me.

I’m glad I have someone like Leonard to talk to and share my problems with. But then again, I have to be careful with my words and tread carefully whenever it involves Alessandro Rossi.
