17. Hostage Of The Mysterious Hunk

Observing her for a while, he tilted his head, watching her bulgy green eyes grow teary.

"Will you believe a kidnapper over your best friend? That should be the question.” He quipped, and her head veered towards his direction.

"I need to get out. What are the terms you were talking about?” She asked, her tone faltering but not missing the urgency in it.

She was certain Evelyn could never have done that to her.

This kidnapper was only playing mind games. He was a manipulator, and she'd be damned to believe anything he said. The world was in a new age of vast technology, someone obviously hacked her phone so he could show these to her.

What mattered was that she got out of there as fast as she could. She'd do anything, even admit she was as sick as him, to get her release.
