Chapter 177. Another Day

Jennifer’s POV

I opened my eyes with the biggest headache. I felt like someone was throwing stones into my head multiple times without stopping.

I sat up on the bed, rubbed my eyes, and took a look around to see exactly where I was. I was aware of my surroundings. I was alone in my room.

I made up my mind to slowly rise and then leave my room. When I got downstairs, I noticed Samantha and Coco watching TV on the couch. “What’s up?” I yawned, stretching my body.

“Hey, how are you feeling?” Samantha asked as she got up and approached me.

“My head still hurts,” I whispered as I ran my fingers through my hair. That’s when I saw that my forehead was on fire. “And it seems I have a fever,” she adds.

Samantha came and grabbed something off her kitchen counter and handed it over to me. I grabbed it and discovered it was Advil to relieve pain. “Thank you,” I went into the kitchen and grabbed a water bottle from the fridge to drink the Advil.
