The club's empty by the time I get Luke alone. Tristan's gone, gave Marie a ride home, and the second the door shuts behind us, I turn on him.
"What the fuck were you thinking?"

"I know it was a bad call—"
"It wasn't a bad call, it was fucking insane, Luke! She's standing in a parking lot full of strangers who don't give a shit whether she's involved or not, because you needed a folder faster than you needed to think for two seconds."
