Chapter 8
Mr. Victor began investigating his guests. He looked at his two guests with a suspicious feeling that could no longer be concealed. His hunch was right; they were definitely not ordinary humans like himself.
“I have to investigate this,” he said to himself.
He quickly sat down at the restaurant table, waiting for the arrival of other guests. Shortly after, Trudy came out from the inn’s corridor with a happy face.
“I’m so lucky,” Trudy said.
“Why do you look so happy, Trudy?” Victor asked.
“Since yesterday, I received a sizable tip from the guests,” Trudy replied.
“Is that so?” Victor asked.
“Of course, they’ve been very kind to me,” Trudy answered.
“Hopefully, it’s as you said,” Victor said.
“Is there something wrong with what I said, Mr. Victor?” Trudy asked with a puzzled expression.
“No, it’s just that for me, it seems ordinary,” Victor replied.
“Why do you seem different than usual?” Trudy asked.
