“Where are they?!” I searched, looking for both Mom and Derby.

Their scent was still fresh. I could tell I was getting closer to their location, but both of them were not on the same lane.

Derby’s scent was closer than Mom’s, so I headed for her direction first, hoping to get to her quickly before those creatures start whatever attack they are planning.

On getting to a tent filled with excited audience watching a dart game, I spotted Derby on the queue, getting ready to join the fun.

She was at the front, meaning it was her turn after the current players.
