The following morning, I thought Mom would stop me from stepping out into the public after what happened with Allen. But she didn’t.

Instead, she advised me to make sure both Cadell and Trent where nearby, so that Allen wouldn’t dare to get closer to me.

“If that crazy man makes any move, Wolfy can bite his legs off while Kitty plucks both eyes out. You won’t get into trouble for defending yourself. At least people would be around to witness it themselves.”

“Right, I’ll keep that in mind,” I had responded through my teeth, finding that advice kind of horrifying.

Still, I took her advice and left home with both Cadell and Trent to start my training for the day. But Cadell suddenly canceled the plan without any reason, surprising Trent and I.

“Is he okay? He has been acting weird all morning,” Trent asked as we both walked behind Cadell.

Nodding, I responded to Trent’s question, “Yeah, he is. I think he has something else to do today.”
