Quickly, I rushed off to meet Cadell at the other side of the road. He was busy staring at something, paying no attention to his surroundings.

When I came closer, I sat beside him, asking, “What are you doing here all alone? Our seat is over there.” I pointed at the direction where I came from without taking my eyes off him.

Cadell managed to look at the spot but said nothing. All he did was smirk and face the direction he was facing at first.

There was a sudden sting that struck me in the heart, making me sad. I decided to compose myself and try something else, just to pull him out of this silence.

With a smile, I said to him, “Hey, guess who now has an admirer? Trent!” I giggled. “Derby is keeping him busy. I bet he’s going to freak out when he sees they’re alone,” I laughed, looking over to the snack joint to see Derby hovering a terrified Trent.
