“Ready?” Cadell asked, his voice steady yet playful.
I nodded slowly, trying to calm the excitement fluttering in my chest. “Yeah. I’m ready.”
I was already on his back, my arms gently wrapping around his neck. But the moment felt far from ordinary. It wasn’t just about running anymore—it was about escape, freedom, and moving toward something unknown. Something real.

In an instant, Cadell dashed forward, moving with that incredible speed that made him more shadow than man. Wind rushed past my face, cool and sharp, and I held him tighter, watching the blur of buildings and moonlit trees streak by us.
