“Nothing. I searched the sorceress’s chamber but didn’t feel a thing,” Cadell said, frustration in his voice.
“Then how did she sense Evolet that night? No, they must have hidden it so well that you can’t even feel it,” Trent argued, rubbing the back of his neck as he paced.
“Unless they’re hiding it outside the mansion,” Cadell added, “then that would explain everything.”
