Axel pulled down at Devena’s turn and he honked impatiently at the panicking Tracy.

With just the way she looked, he could tell that she was the one. And if she turned out to be another person, she would die along with the guy trying to harm his baby girl.

With a heavy heart and trembling hands, Tracy walked into the car, her hands patting the other as she tried to control herself, assuring herself that nothing was going to happen to her friend.

“Good evening,” her voice came out shaky.

“Seat belt,” he instructed in a hoarse voice, ignoring her greetings and not sparing her a glance. She hurriedly reached out for her seat belt.

For a moment, Tracy felt her heart race at the hoarseness and the soothing undertone of his melodious voice that caused her tummy to churn in excitement.
