Authors POV

Hazel’s face softened the smile on her face slowly fading away as she noticed how moody Axel’s face had become.

“Hey, Axel. Are you okay?” She reached out to him, placing her palm on his arm and he sighed at the contact the touch made.

He inhaled softly and tilted his head back to stare at her.

“I am fine, momma.”

He reached out to his phone and placed a call to Alex.

Alex picked at the very first ring and Axel stood up to leave, but he was interrupted by Hazel.

“I will Come with you, Axel.”

“Stay back momma. I am fine.”

“No, Axel I insist.” she pouted.

“I just asked you to stay back,” Axel muttered In a voice Hazel knew well not to go against.

She gulped down noting her heart-wrenching in pain, while her butt hit the bed.

Axel stared at her one last time and sighed before walking away.
