“Johann?” I turned my head to his bedside.

I blurted when I saw an empty space next to me. I reached for my phone and saw some messages from him.

I opened them and read, “Morning, love. I went ahead and didn’t wake you up because you looked exhausted. See you later.”

I hit myself to wake myself up. I was so mad at myself. I promised that I would be a good wife yet I couldn’t even cook breakfast for him.

Disappointed as I could be, I went straight to the bathroom and started ahead with my day.

I felt hungry so I went to the kitchen to cook but I saw there was already a breakfast prepared for me, with a note on top of it.

“I didn’t cook it, I just had it delivered. Suit yourself. We’ll get a helper tomorrow.”
