Chapter 69. The French Restaurant

Primrose entered the house, silently reflecting on Nancy's advice earlier, slightly squinting her eyes as she pondered and feeling it to be quite sensible. After all, Joel always took the initiative and made their relationship sweeter. She should also take some steps to surprise him.

So, with determination in her heart, Primrose slowly changed her shoes and walked into the living room, thinking about how Joel was sitting on the sofa waiting for her to return.

"Sweetie, you're back. Did you enjoy your day at the company?"

Seeing Primrose approaching, Joel naturally struck up a conversation, leaning back on the sofa and speaking. Primrose's gaze shifted subtly, and she smiled as she walked up to Joel's side, leaning down to hug him and resting her head on his warm shoulder.

"Not really; it's boring going to work without you."

Primrose pouted playfully, her voice soft and pleasant, like a refreshing stream that
