When I got back to my car, I couldn't decide what to do next, so I texted my friends. Still, none of them were available today; some said they needed to be with their families or had a date with their special someone, which made me upset because Xavier and I should have a date if he didn't forget our anniversary.
"Why now, of all days? Why did he need to be so busy today?" I asked, frustrated.
I decided to max out Xavier's credit card as a form of retaliation because I had nothing better to do.
I went to the mall next, intending to buy myself some clothes but instead purchasing items for him, including casual clothing, business apparel, perfume, a watch, and various other things that I knew Xavier would like.
