Alysse's POV

"Morning." I woke up stretching and wondered whose voice could be so full of smiles this early in the morning. Valerie stood in front of me giving me a genuine smile.

Valerie is a shy and humble girl. I immediately took an attachment to her. It's really hard for her in here. After knowing about her struggle, I decided to keep her close with me and protect her from any harm.

"Um, hi?" My mouth was dry, and my head felt like it had been banged with metal rod screaming and hammering my skull.

I stood up immediately and tried to remember what happened. My mind was flooded with all the things that had happened.
