"Leila, you have to believe me. I never meant to hurt you. I was always behind you that night, and if Alex left you here alone, you wouldn't be in danger. Please believe me." His sincere voice implored her eyes. "I didn't mean to harm you, I just took the opportunity to teach him a lesson. I wanted to do this a long time ago.
