Why was I looking at her like that?
"Change in the washroom or dressing room," I scolded her, my tone firm, not allowing room for argument, telling her to change in the washroom or dressing room. She nodded silently, adjusting her saree before complying with my directive.
As she adorned herself with bindi, bangles, jewelry, and light makeup, I couldn't help but steal glances in her direction, feeling a strange flutter in my chest. Despite my attempts to focus on my phone, her presence seemed to captivate my attention, much to my chagrin.
As we emerged, ready to face the festivities, we were greeted by the bustling activity of the household. Mom's insistence on seeking blessings at the temple further added to the irritation that was piling up in me but we followed the instructions.
