Vincent’s eyes became wider as he inched closer to me. Even though I knew what a terrible mistake I had made, I would not go back on what I had said.

I shook my coat off my shoulders and threw it over the closest chair as he moved away from the entrance and approached to stand in front of me.

“What?” I asked him, amazed at how sure he was of himself.

“Well, even if you initially did not know what you were getting into, I believe that something in your body changed the moment you saw me despite all the hatred you claim to have for individuals like me”
