Smith screamed so loudly that his thick voice could be heard across the avenue. I got so scared, I took a few steps back.

“Hey, you don’t have to yell like that!” I shouted, hoping to calm him down.

“Indeed, I do need to! How do you think I’m going to agree to let you come back here? No way!”

Smith wasn’t as angry as he let on. But I could understand him not wanting another exhibition of mine.

“You don’t have to give me an answer now. Think about it”

“And who can guarantee that history won’t repeat itself?” Smith asked, and I immediately got my hopes up. If he wanted nothing to do with me, he wouldn’t have asked that, would he?

“So, you’re thinking of giving me another chance?”

“It was only hypothetical, Miss Glare.”

“Then I’ll tell you that in the past, it was all my mother’s fault. She triggered something in me. We fix the situation by forbidding her to enter. See? Problem solved!”
