Chapter 148. Filled with Determination

As we finished our breakfast, my phone rang. It was one of my colleagues from work.

“Hello?” I answered.

“Alessia, we need you back at the office urgently,” my colleague said with urgency.

I looked over at Riccardo disappointed. “I have to go back to work,” I said apologetically.

“Don’t worry about me,” Riccardo reassured me with a smile. “I’ll wait here for you.”

As I made my way back to the office, thoughts of Riccardo and our upcoming trip to Australia filled my mind. I couldn’t wait for the day when we could embark on this adventure together.
