The Unexpected

Becky shook her head,

"No, I can't..." she said half-chocked.

James's eyes darkened, "What about one step at a time?" he replied almost in a whisper.

"That's not included! We could make it last time! You don't need those stuff, we could still have fun!"

James breathed out heavily,

"What if I said I faked it?"

"What?" she glared at him in disbelief. "No, you didn't fake it, I could feel it! Just don't make things more complicated please..." she begged, teary.

She could see the disappointment on his face, he didn't say anything and just left her like that. She plopped down on the floor, she thought everything would go back to normal easily but the words 'one step at a time' seemed not relatable anymore. When she was busy with her thoughts suddenly her cellphone rang, and she got up to pick it up.
