The Story

Becky walked back and forth in the hospital hallway barefoot, her face puffy, her hair tangled. She didn't even feel tired because her body was numb. She was scared to death because James had been shot in the head, she didn't know how deep the wound was but what was clear was that his condition wasn't good at all.

"Becky!" suddenly, from the end of the hall, Nina ran up to her with a worried face. She hugged her tightly, sobbing. At first, Becky thought Nina was trying to calm her down, but her cries sounded different.

"Nina, where are Alex and Phoebe?" asked Becky, getting wary.
