Lucy's POV

I just halted my steps, staring at him with my eyes blinking.

"Oh my God! He's very cute!" At this point, I was drawn between my resolve and him. At some point, I tried pushing my feelings for this guy away but I couldn't for long. I couldn't cheat nature. He's my second chance mate but why am I feeling this deep for him as though he were my mate?

There were a lot of thoughts flying across my mind.

"Mate, are you... afraid of me?" I shrieked, my attention immediately returned to normal. I narrowed my eyes on him, I pretended not to be happy with the question. Why should he say what I'm feeling more, making me look more vulnerable.

I was reluctant to respond to this, I looked at him and then back at the ground. My eyes were roaming around not sure where to look but in his case, I supposed this question was more of greater emotional pains than wishing to know the truth.

"Okay, since you don't want to respond to that parti
