Chapter 1. Positive

Ellie's POV

Two lines.

I gently touched my belly. Finally!

"Hi, baby! Thank you for coming into my life. I'm your mommy Ellie." I whispered.

I didn't expect to be this emotional. Maybe it's because of the hormones. I can’t help but cry due to overwhelming happiness.

Finally, I will have someone to be with me.

Finally, I will have someone with whom I can share all my achievements.

It was almost two months after I went to that bar and met the guy who helped me fulfill my plan.

I can't deny how gorgeous and hot that guy was. I did not regret giving him my virginity.

I can still remember what happened that night.

I remember the first time he entered me. It felt like he considered the fact that I was a virgin. He was so gentle yet full of passion.

That guy was insatiable and well-endowed. I still don't know how I survived that night. I lost count of how many rounds we went.

I was so thankful when he finally felt exhausted and let me go. It's not that I didn't enjoy it, because I did.

Because we were too tired, we both fell asleep. Fortunately, I was the first to wake up, which gave me a sense of relief. I dreaded the idea of him seeing me when he woke up. Knowing the unspoken rule of a one-night stand, I knew it was best to leave before he woke up. So, I quickly gathered my things, freshened up, and quietly exited the hotel room.

As I took my first steps, I felt soreness in my lower body, which didn't surprise me considering his size. I think I might even develop a fever after this.

After I fixed myself, I took one last look at him. 

"I wouldn't mind if our child inherits his looks," I whispered to myself.

He was undeniably handsome from every angle, and I found myself unexpectedly wishing for a son who resembled him.

Quietly, I walked to the door and left the gorgeous guy in our hotel room without a trace. I didn’t leave anything behind. As I had no desire for us to cross paths again. One night is enough for the both of us.

I hope he forgets me. Well, I think he's accustomed to this kind of setup. I'm certain he has many experiences, making it impossible for him to remember all of them.

As it turned out, I indeed develop a fever after returning home. Fortunately, I didn't have any work that day, so there was no need for me to file for a leave.

After seeing the result of the pregnancy test I had bought, I immediately scheduled an appointment with the OB who had conducted my last checkup.

Upon meeting with the OB, I handed her the pregnancy kit that I had used.

“Who-“

"That's mine," I cut her off. "The reason I'm here is because I want you to check the condition of my baby."

"So, you wanted to have a baby, which is why you came here earlier to inquire about your high chance of getting pregnant. But I didn't know you had a boyfriend," she said.

"Yes, I planned this baby, and you don't need to know who the father is. Just check my baby's condition," I said in a formal tone.

Looking at her expression, I could tell she was taken aback by my response. I nonchalantly shrugged as she proceeded to conduct the examination as requested.

"Congratulations, Ms. Cabello, you're six weeks pregnant!" the doctor exclaimed.

"Thanks, Doc Allejo. How's my baby?" I asked eagerly.

"The baby is fine. Do you hear that? That's your baby's heartbeat. And this thing here, which looks like a pea, is your baby," she explained, pointing to the ultrasound monitor.

I peered closely at the pea-like image the doctor was referring to.

I furrowed my brow. "Doc, why do I see two peas? Are you sure my baby is okay?"

Suddenly, a wave of nervousness washed over me.

The doctor smiled at me reassuringly.

"Ms. Cabello, nothing is wrong. Your babies are fine."

My eyes widened in shock. "B-babies?"

She nodded gently. "Yes, Ms. Cabello, you're expecting twins. Those two small peas you see are your twins."

I can’t contain the happiness I’m feeling right now knowing I have two children in my womb.

Thank you, Lord! I'm only asking for one baby but you gave me two. I promise you, Lord, that I will love them and I will do everything to protect them even if it cost my life. 

After my check-up, I went straight to a pharmacy to purchase the vitamins and milk prescribed by my doctor.

I also called my secretary to put my OB check-ups on my schedule.

"Wait! What do you mean by scheduling your OB appointments? Who is pregnant?" My secretary Luna asked, sounding a bit confused.

Luna is not only my trusted secretary but also my best friend. I never had a close friend when I was in school. I was so focused on my studies and family that I had no time to make friends. 

Reflecting on those times, I have no regrets. The moments I spent with my parents were invaluable, and I treasure the memories we shared together. Though our time together was brief, those were the best moments of my life.

I first met Luna a year after I took over the company. I was very serious about my work and never had time for myself.

I’m also very strict when it comes to my employees, which is why most of them are scared of me, but Luna is different.

Even when I keep shouting at her, it seems like it doesn’t affect her. She is the only secretary who has stayed with me. Eventually, she became my most trusted person, and we became friends.

She often invited me to go out, encouraging me to loosen up and teaching me how to have fun. However, unlike her, I wasn’t really into parties.

"I'm pregnant," I answered her.
