After checkups and everything, Sophie fell asleep. I stayed there until late at night and left once I positioned a security guard in front of her door.

Liam had come in to meet me. He was shocked to see her.

“This is her?” he exclaimed.

“Yup. She has lost weight.”

“Wow,” he said, looking at her while she was asleep. I wanted to push him out of the room. But then I remembered he has a girlfriend, and it’s not necessary that he is leering at her. So I need to hold my horses.
