I unlock the door and step inside, taking in the familiar sight of my living room. It feels so odd. When I packed my bags almost 2 months ago, I thought I would be back in 3-4 days.

Can so much change in a matter of 8 weeks?

I breathe a sigh of relief, grateful to be back in my cozy little space after two long months away in California. Too bad. It’s my last few days in this apartment.
