I wake up to the sound of my own groans and some rummaging around me. When I open my eyes first thing I notice is Caleb going through my stuff with his back towards me. He has searched through my entire room.

Panic rises, and I try to lift my head off the pillow. That’s when the tight rope tied around my wrists and ankles digging into the skin makes itself known.
