Gasps of joy and surprise rippled through the room as the realization dawned on the family members.

“We are going to be parents Jack,” Ashley said as her voice was filled with pride and exhilaration.

“We are,” Jack said stunned at the sudden realization that he was going to be a father.

He thought Ashley’s inability to give birth will pave the way for him to be with Layla who he has falling for.

“Yes Jack, the IVF worked,” Ashley screamed.

“That is amazing news,” Mr. Lockwood said.

“I am going to be a grandmother,” Mrs. Lockwood screamed.

“You are already one,” Mr. Lockwood reminded her.

“Why didn’t the doctor tell me,” Jack asked.

“He wanted to but I told him that I wanted to surprise you. The documents are here my love,” Ashley said as she waved the documents at him.

Jack scanned through the documents and it was clear to him now. Ashley was going to be the mother of his child.
