Chapter 211
After some time, Madman finished his shower, rinsed his mouth, wiped water from his hair, and sauntered over to open the hatch for me.
As one knife-like door after another opened, I crawled out, dripping wet, with my red, twisted fingers curled.
Madman and I locked eyes. He looked down at me. We were both wet, but he was wet, and I was wet.
He cocked his head and asked me, "What are you thinking about now?"
"Want to die." I answered dully.
He crouched down, lifted my back collar, and said, "If you haven't vented enough, I am thinking of throwing you back in."
"No," I said hoarsely, seizing his hand. "No, I'm ready."
He wrapped the towel around my neck and wiped something on my face that was either tears or saliva. "Don't you still want to die?"
I clenched my fist. "Want to die, but dare not die. It all comes back to me. I know what I have to do." Madma
