"What did you just say?"

Suddenly I heard a male voice. I thought it was Xavier speaking, but the voice didn't seem to be his.

"Say that again!"

The voice sounded familiar, but I was so caught up in the pain that I wasn't distracted by it.

I looked up and noticed the visitor when a hand suddenly tugged on my arm.

My eyes widened.

Lyle! Why was he here?

Why had he gotten the news of Xavier's readmission so quickly? How many informants does he have in the Sin Pack?

Lyle stared at me with two bloodshot eyes, clutching my arm tightly, and snapped, "What did you do to Xavier?"

Suddenly, Xavier jumped off the bed and grabbed Lyle's wrist with all his might.

"Let go of Leila."

I was so shocked that I forgot even the pain in my body.

Lyle looked at Xavier sadly and then turned to me indignantly, "How dare you… How dare you touch him? How dare you!"
