Chapter 162. Another Emergency

LILY’S POV 

 “But don’t lose hope, okay,” Dr Maxwell reassured seeing how miserable I looked. “Your husband is strong. If he weren’t then he would have died right on the spot, even before he was brought here. Right now, we’re doing everything possible to stabilize him. All we can do now is wait and monitor. I’ll keep you updated on any changes, I promise. I have a feeling he’ll make it.” 

 I nodded. Swallowing the knot in my throat and doing my best to keep up a smile, I turned back to look at Robert. My eyes glistened with tears I was struggling to hold back because I was amid the nurse and doctor. 

Since Robert won’t be waking up anytime from now, that meant I had to call his mom and break the news to her. She must be dead worried that I haven’t given her a call yet. But how do I do it? Should I call her or just send her a text message?
