Chapter 203. Kill Them All

Brent and Sean have insisted on coming with me, and I’m glad about that. But I’m not glad that they seem to feel responsible for Kelly’s disappearance since they’d left before they knew the girls were secure. They’d been so excited to see whether the rickety old van would make it all the way back to Mark’s castle that they had just taken off driving and didn’t wait for the other car to drive off.

I have told them multiple times that it isn’t their fault, that Mark has insisted that Chris is a strong, capable warrior and whatever has happened, I’m sure he is doing everything he can do to keep Kelly and the girl, Heather, safe right now. Not to mention that Kelly can be a force to be reckoned with as well—I know I don’t want to be on her bad side.

But I guess if I were in the same situation as Brent and Sean, I would blame myself too.

Eustace has also abandoned his attempt at restoring the old van to join us in the search as well. I imagine
