However, my soul knew, my power knew, and it was the only thing I had to guide myself, because the rest of the creatures were only waiting for my fall for another to appear in my place. I felt terribly lonely and desolate. And when I returned to the room wearing nothing more than my own nudity as clothing, I heard a new song playing softly between the cold walls of the place.
I sat on the bed and took my hands in my hair to remove the crown, and I watched it in my hand, wondering what the price was in five centuries to keep it in my possession. What was the price paid for having reincarnated into a human without memories and powers, doomed to reign in a world surrounded by evil and fire. The world outside seemed to make fun of me, with all the orange shadows that rose to the eaves of the window, confirming that that was my destiny; fire, blood and ashes.
