Chapter 27. He's Gone

Being caught in our act is something that the shapeshifting wolves are afraid of. We cannot think and do what needs to be done. And that is exactly how I feel right now. I can easily get the knife out of my body, but I do not know why my hands will not cooperate. I can easily get out of this position, but I cannot move my body.

“So tell me, who are you, and why are you using my boyfriend’s body?” Maxine asked again, but this time she was firm and even tightened her hold on me.

Even though my heart was beating fast, I tried to stay calm and not show any signs of weakness in front of her. If I were just a normal shapeshifter, I would be freaking out and turning into an aggressive wolf right now. But since I am a prince, I have enough energy to stay calm and try to figure out how to get out of this situation.

"Oh, so you are strong, huh? What are you, a royal? Wow! Wolves like you never fail to surprise me. You have the guts to live in the city with people like
