Chapter 24. Her Command

Draco’s POV

I was in my room, getting ready to make my exit from the mansion when suddenly, a sharp knock echoed through the silence.

It’s one of those nights, that always feels strange and out of the ordinary. As it was an odd day.

“Come in,” I beckoned, my voice a mixture of curiosity and caution.

Daisy stepped into the room, she stood at the door side, observing before moving closer.

“I know tonight is one of those nights,” she said, her expression filled with concern.

“One of those nights of what?” I inquired, turning to face her.

“One of the nights where you switch to your beast form,” she replied, her words hanging in the air like a heavy mist.

“Yes, and that is why I need to leave,” I replied, and continued with what I was doing, the sense of urgency palpable in the air.

“What If I could be of help to you,” she said, her voice laced with compassion and confidence.
