Chapter 129. She Is Mine and Only Mine

"Oh, no. This is not happening." Luke leaned in close to her. Scarlett rested back. Searching her eyes with his, wondering what he was doing and who he was. "You don't remember anything? Even about the accident?"

"What accident?" When Scarlett asked, Luke repositioned himself.

"That landed you here. You have been fighting for your life for the past five days."

Scarlett tried to get up but when she suddenly felt pain, she sat back down, holding her ribs. "I don't remember getting hurt. Who are you though?"

"I think the accident affected you. I will go and call the doctor." He stood up but she stopped him. When Luke turned to face her, her hand was holding his. She searched his eyes again. "I will be right back, Scarlett."

"You keep calling me that name. Is that supposed to be my name?"

Luke nodded. "Yes. It is."

"Are you and I friends?"

Luke hesitated at first before speaking, "I guess we became friends." He said. "You can't forget anyt
