Chapter 72. Meeting at the Ice House at 12 p.m.

Pulling the car into the garage, October turned off the engine. It had been a long day for her. Attending the meeting with the councils and making sure she stayed there until they were done which took close to 7 hours.

She sighed as she reached for her bag that was placed on the passenger seat. Being a rank 3, you get to be in charge of weapons and home was the last place October wanted weapons to be. She could risk meeting her kids to know about the job the family does.

She closed the door behind her and checked the time. It was 10.00 pm on dot and just as she had expected, Scarlett was already in bed.
