Chapter 125. A Suffocating Environment
Ayana’s POV
Four days later…
I saunter into the house after a yet another tiring day at the kiosk. Robby is seated on the couch, less and gloomy, like he has been since that day I told him that I would be leaving his house. He has become so temperamental. And explosive. Either he does not talk to me or he will just be rude to me without caring.
For these two changes, I have grown more fearful of him. I don’t feel secure or at peace with him around anymore. I am always torn between tucking my pride and fears in my belly and extending my gratitude by just talking to him, even just greeting him, or just acting like a bitch and staying out of trouble.
Sometimes he does not even turn to look at me when I speak to him. Most of my greetings go to the trash most of the time, unanswered. If I push it, a single mistake of asking him who he is or how his day and work were, and he blows up.
